Happy Thursday y’all! Man I never thought I would say that this week. It’s currently 4AM and I just finished my homework assignment for my PR Research class which was probably as much work as all of my final papers combined last semester. I’m taking a tiny break while I study for my marketing and mass comm law tests tomorrow AND management quiz! Who said senior year was easy because I definitely beg to differ. I’m actually the queen of procrastination when it comes to school. Since I have cable this year, I tend to get sucked into Food Network instead of doing homework or studying during the week… oops? Come tomorrow around 2:30 you can find me in my cave, most liekly with Chopped on my TV. But I’m still somehow getting around to post one of my favorite looks today from NYFW!

I will always love a good romper/jumpsuit. I will always love a good structured romper/jumpsuit even more. Don’t get me wrong, I love a girly dress with feminine flare or sleek lines (did you see the other days post?),but there’s something that I find so intriguing about a structured romper like this one. When I was on the hunt for my fashion week outfits I stumbled upon this romper and immediately sent it to nearly everyone in my phone book for their opinions. My best friend Ellen, a design major at Texas Tech, kept obsessing over the pleated perfection and wide leg fit and I knew if she was in love that it was going to be perfect for the occasion. When I wore it to the Lie Sang Bong show I felt like such a celebrity with the street style photographers snapping as many shots as they could get in while I tried to take pictures of my own. I love everything about this romper that it’s so hard to find a place to begin! It fits like a glove, literally it is the perfect fit on me which never happens with rompers! I’m extra long in the torso and always have to size up in rompers, but then it’s too big in the bust area. Somehow, someway this one was all around perfect! I love how it accentuates the waist so that you don’t look large since the legs are so wide and flared. The strapless neckline was perfect for the hot weather considering the fabric is thicker than what you would normally wear during a hot summer afternoon. And can we talk about that print?! I love how the animal print is so chic and different from a normal leopard print. I decided to stray from my typical nude lip for a bold statement red lip, matching my shoes! My good friend and old supervisor at Cosmo, Linda, let me borrow her Celine for the day and I swear my hands have never touched something so beautiful! Paired with my Louboutins I actually felt so chic!

I wore this jumpsuit to the rewardStyle #rSNYFW party after the show and it was perfect for the occasion! Everyone shows up as chic as can be, and I was so happy with my outfit choice to mingle with some of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met! Honestly I felt so honored to be in the room with such talent. One of my favorite things from the party was connecting with both Houston and Oklahoma bloggers! You don’t know how excited I was to have something in common with people, especially since I was attending fashion week all on my own. Can you tell this post is longer than usual and I’m procrastinating studying?! What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!

Cameo Jumpsuit (I’m wearing a large) // Christian Louboutins // Coil Stud Earrings // Karen Walker Sunnies // Celine Luggage Tote

Update since I wrote this post: I went to leave my sorority house from studying at 5:30AM to discover my car had disappeared! It had been towed! I had to walk all the way to my house off campus which took nearly 40 minutes. It has been a day y’all and it’s not even 9! Hoping your day is going better than mine!
