Happy Monday y’all! Today is a great Monday because it kicks off a nice long break from school and much needed family and friends time! After somehow surviving finals last week I managed to make the long, eight hour haul home back to Houston for a few days and we live for Mexico on Wednesday and then Miami next week! I can’t explain how excited I am to go on an actual vacation. Last year I had to miss out on our annual Play Del Carmen trip due to having to get to New York to start interning ASAP. I’m including some of the items I’ve bought for a Christmas tropical getaway below in case you’re interested!

Today I’m sharing a look from my trip to New York a couple of week back. I had intended on sharing this sooner, but time has just gotten away with me in the midst of finals and other things! I love this poncho, literally everything about it. I love the faux Burberry print, the colors in the pattern and the fact that it’s a great neutral piece that’s still super chic. The day wasn’t as cold as it usually is in the city, so this poncho was perfect for wondering around Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Dumbo area, however, I would definitely recommend wearing a long sleeve shirt or light wear sweater underneath. I paired it with leather leggings that are always my go-to if I want to stay warm and look chic. If you live in a warmer climate this dress would be so cute with OTK boots and a red sweater dress of skirt underneath. Now that I’m back in Houston I definitely will be wearing things that are sleeveless and lighter. I was cracking up that my parents had the fireplace on and it’s only in the 70’s! What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
