Happy Thursday y’all! Wow do you know how weird it is for me to say it’s Thursday already?! After what seemed like the longest day ever yesterday, I’m getting ready to have another day of traveling! I decided spur of the moment to head home for the weekend after I heard that most of my friends were going home this weekend, not to mention I want to spend more time with my family’s newest addition, Hudson the 9 week old Shih Tzu!

Day 2 of NYFW was definitely a bit different and a lot more stressful. It was actually my birthday, so I was trying to multitask and do all of my NYFW duties as well as what I wanted to do for my birthday. Since everything is so spread out now, it’s hard to get from place to place on time. Usually show allow you about a 20 minute grace period, where you can still get to the show in time. My advice for fashion week, plan your time accordingly. Our morning started with the Tanya Taylor presentation, one of my favorites from the trip. A gorgeous feminine collection filled with sophisticated silhouettes and pops of color. Unfortunately my storage was full, so the majority of pmt photos are on Ellen’s phone but this coat needs to get in my closet ASAP.

Afterwards we rushed to the Bauble Bar showroom to meet up with Anna and Lauren, and there we previewed so many of the new pieces from the recent collections online. My favorite part was talking about how to move to NYC and go about looking for jobs and apartments, I always appreciate any advice and now that I’m three months out I’m really starting to stress. Bauble Bar is one of my absolute favorite accessories retailer, their price point is always on point and their sales are always great. I tend to steal my Moms pieces and we trade off every now and then, but I’m about to place a massive order for all of the bright pieces as we get into spring!

After Bauble Bar we shot in the Flatiron district and Ellen and I headed to a birthday lunch at Bar Virage, my absolute favorite place in NYC-get the mozzarella croquets and malbec on tap, and then to Momofoku to pick up my birthday cake. Afterwards I swear I spent an hour in a cab getting to the O2’nd presentation, and once I got there with ten minutes to spare my phone died. After going back to the hotel to nap and freshen up, I had an uber incident where I waited on a guy going the wrong way for 20 minutes, then requested another one who wen to the wrong address! The fashion Gods were against me, and I missed the Sherri Hill show. Sherri Hill was one I was so excited about seeing so I was definitely in a mood after, but then I met my friends from last summer and we went to Tao for dinner and out for the night. All in all it was a great day and birthday and successful day 2!

I chose this fringe tweed dress because it has a multitude of colors. Not to mention it’s so warm! It came in right as I was walking out the door, so I just threw it in my bag and I’m so glad I did. Paired with tights and comfy boots and I was good for the day. I really gave up after awhile, it was so cold and your feet start hurting so bad. But people were walking around in jeans and t shirts so I definitely didn’t mind! What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
