Easy, Everyday Makeup Routine

Happy Wednesday y’all! As we’re powering through the week, I wanted to use today’s post to share an easy, everyday makeup routine that I use on days that I actually decide to wear makeup. Let’s be real here, I like anything quick and simple and my makeup routine tends to be no fuss because I’m the type of person that like’s to do whatever possible to spend less time actually getting ready. That may not be for everyone and that’s okay! But if you’re like me, then this post is for you.

I shared a breakdown of the routine on IGTV explaining all steps, but figured I would round up items I used and detail out the steps I take in one full post. If you’re interested in seeing more posts like this definitely let me know! I tried to keep today’s routine to under 10 products + under 10 minutes, so it’s more of a natural glow and easy eye tutorial. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!

Primer.
It’s always important to prime your face to start your routine, whether you’re applying a hefty face of makeup for a night out or a more natural approach for your everyday. Primers just help lay the groundwork for what you’re about to do, and they help prolong the makeup you apply.
My go to primer right now is TULA’s Face Filter Primer (use code KAYLEIGHSKLOSET for 15% off TULA’s site!). I also use TULA’s Rose Glow & Get It Eye Balm during the same process.

Eyeshadow.
I love me a good eyeshadow palette, but when it comes to an everyday look I try to stick with a mix of one or two colors and call it a day. My favorite shades are usually a taupe, coral, or mauve color because they can be blended or mixed to create a going out look if I decide I need to add more later in the day. I typically do a light color or shimmer base, and then color in the crease/outer corners of my lids.
In this IGTV tutorial I used the Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette and shade ‘innocent’ only. It’s a great neutral shade that I swiped along the crease of my lid like a windshield wiper to fill in.

Eye Brows.
When it comes to brow products I’ve only really ever used Anastasia Beverly Hills and as you can see my brow pencil is on it’s last leg. For days where I’m rushing I tend to only use the pencil and fill in.

Eye Lashes.
Since I have eyelashes I avoid using mascara. If I do, I only use it on the bottom lashes. NYC peeps can get 10% off at She Winks mentioning my blog. For days like today I’ll just run a clean mascara wand through to comb out. I love lash extensions because you always get a consistent look.

Foundation.
I obviously switch between foundations during the year based on my skin tone, but this IT Cosmetics CC Cream has been my tried and true foundation since the summer when I got it at ULTA. The coverage is great, it’s lightweight and I just can’t say enough about it – highly recommend. On normal days I avoid concealer unless I have a meeting. I tend to look cakey at the end of the day regardless of brand/price of concealer.

Bronzer & Highlighter.
Again on more natural days I try to avoid a ton of product, so I love my LORAC Hustle & Glow Bronzing Palette and Megabeam Highlighter to help give me a bronzed glow. I don’t cake on a ton of powder or set so that my pores can breathe, especially when I’m applying my full blown skincare routine beforehand. Don’t want it to get lost!
