Happy Thursday y’all! If you’ve noticed recently, I’ve spent a good chunk of time lately focusing on bettering my skincare routine and figuring out all sorts of ins and outs that have been working best now that I’m *officially* 25 AKA old. What I’ve learned mostly is that your skincare routine isn’t just considered what types of oils, serums and creams your putting on your skin, but also what you’re putting into your body. Insert my latest trend: collagen.

In terms of supplements, I’ve never really used anything or have taken anything too crazy. I love Hum Nutrition gummy supplements, and a few other immune system supporters but that’s really as extensive as it gets for me. Recently, I’ve been including the new Evolution 18 line from Bobbi Brown at Walmart into my daily routines. I mix the collagen powder into things I have time to make in the morning whether it be my coffee, smoothie post-workout, or honestly even water.

What are the main benefits of collagen? Well let me tell ya, other than just being trendy AF right now they actually hold a substantial amount of benefits for you! Collagen is known to promote skin elasticity, help your bones and muscles, and protect those organs of yours, according to Healthline.

Collagen has also been known to help promote gut health and reduce signs of aging in your skin – so in combination with a killer skincare routine it’s the perfect/easiest way to glow as your grow (older lol). In addition to skin health, it’s supposed to help relieve joint and muscle achey-ness, something that I personally deal with on a daily basis so if I can find something other than filling my body with ibuprofen to help pains, you can bet I’ll be trying it out.

I’ve been adding collagen to my daily routine for a short period of time – only about a month now! So far, my colleagues have mentioned my glowing skin multiple times and have commented that I look great. Whether this has played a key factor, I’ll never know. Until I do I’ll keep doing what I’m doing and drinking my collagen! What do y’all think? Have you tried collagen? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
