Cropped Halter and Red Shorts

Can you believe that it’s already Monday?! And can you believe we’re already in the middle of July?! I only have 26 days left in New York City and as ready as I am for clean air, driving and football season, I still have so many things left to do and see! I spent the entire weekend in Brooklyn and it’s like a whole different world compared to East Village. 
My friend told me to dress casual, considering I’m always overdressed (but hey, rather over dressed than under right?!), but I decided to jazz up my casual weekend wear with some fabulous accessories. A new Jet Chic Arm Candy stack arrived in my mail box this week and I almost squealed with excitement when I saw the red, blue and mint colored bangles to add to my collection. The crimson red screams Boomer Sooner and I can’t wait to wear it during football season! The bangles are so easy to mix and match that it’ll be awhile before I repeat the same stack. I love my Jet Chic Arm Candy bangles!
I’ve had these Free People shorts in my closet since high school and I just grabbed them and threw them on while rushing out that door and it was like falling in love all over again. Don’t you love shopping in your closet? I think that’s why I’m such a hoarder collector. I’m always scared that I’ll get rid of something and then have an exact occasion where I need it back! I love the subtle detailing in the embroidery on the elastic band. The small pops of greens and turquoises make it fun to add accent colors to the outfit, and who doesn’t love shorts with lace trim? These may be a few seasons old, but they’re right on trend with the shorts in stores now! 
How about this Celine bag? Amazing. It’s from the Born Free collection from Shop Bop where many different designers came together to create a line where 100% of the proceeds go to the Born Free foundation. This bag reminds me of why I love fashion, it’s wearable art. The drawing on it, choices of colors and the contrast that it has up against an outfit intrigues me beyond words. It’s no surprise that it sold out within minutes of being listed online!
