Yesterday was definitely the Monday of all Mondays. I was on set for a super great photoshoot with Cosmopolitan and had to be there at 6:30 to set up all of the accessories (you would be in shock by how much shoes and jewelry we get in for shoots)! The model had quite a few different looks and it took the majority of the day getting her ready for each shot, we ended up being there until 9:30 at night! By the time I got home I went straight to bed-I feel a bit of a cold coming on, darn subway and all of the germs in the city! I’m still not caught up on rest from this past weekend! On Saturday I woke up (lat of course) and ventured on the Jitney for three hours to get to the Hamptons with my blogging/Seventeen intern friend Wesley. We spent the entire day walking from the town in East Hampton to the main beach, back and forth, taking pictures for our blogs and enjoying the cool weather and quaint town. I’ve never been to the Hamptons, but you can guarantee I will be back. It would make the perfect girls weekend and I’m trying to convince my mom to go sometime soon for a relaxing getaway! We spent our day gawking over the gorgeous houses, creeping into peoples driveways to get pictures and nonchalantly sneaking/changing in a Starbucks that we luckily never got kicked out of!
This Pleione Clothing shirtdress is going to be such a perfect fall staple, but was great for the breezy weather in the Hamptons. It’s almost a faux suede material, but super breathable, and how perfect is this color? It’s the perfect mix of purple and royal blue and I can’t get enough! Pleione is such an amazing, wearable brand available at Nordstrom. They have so many great statement pieces that you can easily transition from work to play! Since the color is such a statement maker I decided to keep it simpler with my favorite sandals (that were completely overwork this weekend), and my new Phillip Lim bag from the Nordstrom sale! I decided to treat myself during the sale, and what better way than with this adorable pink bag?! We shot these pictures in a driveway at first, but then we were awkwardly caught by the owners when they went to leave their house so we switched to the side of a gorgeous Hampton’s mansion right when the sun was coming through the trees!
