Happy Tuesday y’all! It’s essentially Monday for me after a much needed long weekend and I’m so happy it’s a short week. When I say I did nothing with my day off I mean I left the apartment once to get froyo and completed the entire first season of stranger things on Netflix. I’m sure balancing a lifestyle is a big adjustment for any recent grad, but I feel like the city makes it so much harder because there’s always so much going on and you never want to miss out on anything. Throw trying to maintain a blog in there and you find yourself shooting on a Saturday during a snow storm after bottomless brunch. I keep thinking I’ll get this routine down but in a place like New York it’s nearly impossible, not to mention I need this weather to figure itself out! I’m so over the cold, dreary, snowy weather and can’t wait for spring.

Speaking of snow, today I’m sharing a peak into this weekends shoot in the full blown blizzard. When I was in the cab to go meet caitee in soho I just thought to myself “of course it’s going to snow right now.” Murphy’s law right?! There was also a full blown fur protest in front of the Canada Goose store on the street we were on too. Like I said, always something in NYC. When it comes to easy-chic I find myself gravitating towards wrap dresses. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s so DVF inspired, or that the length is so much classier, but I love a good wrap dress. This mauve blush one is so soft and comfortable. It’s great for work with a pair of lace up flats or for dinner and drinks with friends with heeled booties. I paired it with this faux fur jacket to dress it up for a city night out and love the contrast of colors. This coat is so warm, trust me I would know since it was snowing so hard. I recently discovered this new shade of lipstick in the color “Stone,” and I was so worried it would look horrible on me but I love it. It’s a combo between a dark nude and brown, and it’s perfect to switch up my winter lip from deep purples and reds. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
