Favorite Tie Dye Bodysuits for Summer

Happy Tuesday y’all! Can you believe it’s almost July? This year feels like it never really happened, it’s crazy. I have a busy week and am traveling to see my brother in Louisiana this weekend which will be interesting traveling for the first time. New York entered into Phase 2 yesterday, so it’s all just a waiting game to see what happens with the city in the coming weeks. I still won’t return until August/September – it doesn’t make sense to go to the city when none of my friends are out there and the bare minimum is open. Plus, being in Texas I have access to things like family/friends (duh), a pool at home/the condo, a workout room at home/the condo, my parents businesses, etc.

One thing I’m not used to is doing things outside in the Houston SUMMER HEAT. Since the heat sure is on these days, I wanted to do a round up of tie dye bodysuits that I’ve been eyeing. I don’t know about y’all but I’m definitely not over the whole tie dye craze yet. I actually tie dyed a bunch this weekend and some of it looks great (while some of it didn’t stick – whoops). I have a few tie dye bodysuits that I grabbed back in the early stages of opening-sales that sold out so fast, and I’m so glad to see items have restocked in the same or additional color SKUs.

The two best quality bodysuits I own tie dye wise are ASTR the Label and Socialite. It may seem silly to spend a little more money on something like a bodysuit, but these are supportive and double lined so I don’t worry about wearing a bra. If I did want to wear a bra however, they have thick enough straps to conceal bra straps without having to opt for strapless (something I’m not a fan of). Overall a win win!

To be honest, I even bought a pink tie dye swimsuit with plans to wear it as a bodysuit HA. It’s easy to be versatile when you need something cool and comfortable for summer! I typically pair mine with a denim skirt or pair of high waisted shorts which I’ll link below.

My favorite color pattern that I’ve been trying to recreate is the tan/brown tones. I’ve found it makes you look so tan and is perfect for summer – not to mention it’s neutral so it goes with just about everything. I’ll definitely be packing these for my trip this weekend and some of the brighter colored ones would be great for any summer shenanigans.

If you’re looking to recreate your own tie dye at home, it’s not too late! RIT just restocked a lot of their dye on Amazon Prime. I may do a larger post on what I’ve dyed this weekend, but one big tip I’ve learned thanks to a friend is to avoid Polyester/Poly blends. Also, you can’t really tie dye spandex that well (womp womp) so I’ve yet to master the perfect biker short/sports bra combo since that’s what I’ve been living in. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
