Happy Monday y’all! Or should I say sad Monday because today marks my last week in the city and I’m not doing okay with it. This past weekend my best friend from high school and best friend from work left, and I think that’s what finally made me realize that this summer was really ending! I feel like I’ve done and seen so much from starting off going to Mumford and Sons and Governors Ball to the multiple trips to Coney Island, Dumbo and the Hamptons. I got to go one not one but two cruises around the Hudson and saw the fireworks over midtown. I went to some old favorites and made lots of new ones and I just don’t want this summer to end! Over the next few days I’m going to go to my favorite restaurants but will be working on a post dedicated to my favorite things in New York so be sure to leave questions if you have any!

This past weekend I spent Saturday walking around Central Park (or more so getting lost) after brunch at Norma’s! We’ve been experiencing such nice weather this weekend, we’re talking 84 and breezy, so I wanted something lightweight and good for walking around. One thing I’ve learned about New York is that the breeze will always be around at random times and it will blow up your dress or skirt every single time, so it’s better to have pieces like this little white dress that come in a longer length and have a slip built in underneath. My favorite part about this dress is the detailing on the neckline. I always love embroidery, crochet and just about any kind of detailing and this dress is just such a staple piece. It’s great for summer brunch or nicer events with a pair of nude strappy heels or colored wedges to add a pop of color. I paired it with nude sandals for a day of walking and lots of arm candy. Taudrey jewelry was sweet enough to send along bangles for us that say #bloggerstakenewyork and I couldn’t be more obsessed! My coordinate bangle that I have is New York’s coordinates, so I love pieces that subtly tie together my obsession with the city. I wanted a hint of color so I added small Kendra Scott turquoise earrings because who doesn’t love white and turquoise together?! What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
