Happy Saturday y’all and Happy New Year! I seriously cannot believe that it’s already 2016! I remember graduating high school and thinking 2016 seemed so far away, and now here I am only four months away from graduating college and five months away from moving permanently to New York. I’m seriously mind blown! I can’t thank everyone enough for following along Kayleigh’s Kloset over the last 2 and a half years. You all are seriously the greatest and your sweet comments make my day everyday.

Today I’m sharing a casual look that I wore while hitting up the after Christmas sales in downtown Houston this past week. Houston has been so back and forth with the weather. It’s currently now sweater weather that I experienced in Norman in October, haha. But this striped cape poncho is the perfect addition for this type of weather! It’s so soft and honestly feels like a blanket. It was great for shopping but would also be great for nights outside or pair it with a turtleneck for the cold days like we’ll soon be experiencing in Norman. I added my newest addition to my kloset, this absolutely gorgeous Celine bag that is just way too chic for words. It’s a funny story actually, I really wanted to do something big for my mom this year and after saving for the whole year and promising my first born child essentially, I was able to buy her a taupe Celine luggage tote and was so excited to give it to her. Little did I know she had the same in mind for me! She opened her present first and I opened mine last, and I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. I was so happy to finally be able to give her something she had actually wanted in a way to say thank you for everything she does, but it makes me even happier now that we’re twinning! Do you guys have any funny stories where you gifted someone the same thing?

I have so many big plans for Kayleigh’s Kloset in 2016. I hope to continue to dedicate even more time to blogging and posting outfit inspiration. I also plan to expand into different ventures once I’ve permanently moved to New York and have a space where I can get everything set up, hello blog office that hopefully isn’t in my bedroom! I’m so excited to continue to work with my favorite photographers Melanie, Lauren Mason, and of course my sweet Grandpa throughout the new year and hope to meet more once I get to the city! Have a great day and weekend and thanks for reading y’all!
