Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope everyone had a great long weekend and a picture perfect fourth of July! I love a good long weekend but boy am I ready for a new week! I woke up this morning with a whole new wind of motivation, and for once the motivation to get to the gym! For the fourth my friend Audrey and I probably saw every inch of NYC. I got up and headed to Astoria from midtown to hang out with her in her new hood, then we headed to Williamsburg to grill on a rooftop, and shortly after headed to the financial district to watch the fireworks. Luckily they weren’t rained out, but it was safe to say our hair was hideous after getting sprinkled on. We also went to the beach this weekend and I am so surprised I’m not more burnt! It’s really nice being able to take a subway for an hour and pop out on a whole new gem you didn’t know about. What did y’all do this weekend?

Today I’m sharing a look that would have been perfect for the fourth, but also is the greatest little weekend look for running errands, grilling with friends, really anything! This striped dress is lightweight and so comfortable, and it has the cutest lace up back detailing. I’ve actually seen some people wear it backwards, and to be completely honest I almost wore it backwards when I went out this weekend, so I think its super versatile. I always get so self conscious in little spaghetti strap dresses because I don’t want my arms to look big, but this one surprisingly passes all of my requirements! I wanted this dress to feel super nautical for the fourth, especially since I was taking pictures in Battery Park by the boats, so I added a turquoise choker and my crochet converse that have been such a hit on Instagram. These converse have been my go-to running errand shoe because they’re comfortable but have the perfect trendy twist on the modern day converse. No joke, I actually said that to someone yesterday and they just looked at me and started laughing! What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
