Happy Thursday y’all! Today I wanted to share a different kind of post with everything thats going on right now. I’m teaming up with Vera Bradley today to discuss a million reasons why I think it’s good to be a girl. I’ve touched on female empowerment before, specifically through social media and encouraging others. One of the greatest things about the blogger community (or blogger land as I like to call it) is how empowering the women I follow are, and how uplifting a group of women can be. Growing up I was always constantly surrounded by women. I danced competitively for 15 years on a private dance team called the Clear Lake Rockettes in Houston, where I learned life’s most important lessons and grew into the woman I am today. I was in Alpha Chi Omega sorority at the University of Oklahoma for my four years of college, where I met some of the most empowering, likeminded, strong hearted individuals I’ve ever met. Fast forward to where I am in life now working entry level at a public relations firm; I work with a team of women on multiple different aspects of the fashion industry and I never knew it was possible to learn so much or be inspired to be your best self everyday. While we live in a world that constantly tells us that women aren’t at the same caliber as others (hello pay gap-this working gal has too much to say on that), there’s so much more to be grateful for int arms of being a girl than is given credit. Needless to say, I’m a girl and I’ve had my experience with all different kinds of girls across my years, so I’ve rounded up my personal reasons why I think it’s great to be a girl below! If you want to learn more about why it’s great to be a girl through Vera Bradley’s perspective just head here.

1. Learning to accept yourself and others, regardless of anything.
2. Being able to multitask, while still slaying.
3. Being able to wear pink all day everyday.
4. Being strong minded, hard working, and still being able to show emotion.
5. Being able to inspire others through any form of media.
6. Because there’s no bond like a mother and their child.
7. Having your greatest accessory being your confidence.
8. Because we’re never too old to play dress up.
9. We can get all dolled up with nowhere to go, just for ourselves.
10. We can light up a room as soon as we walk in.

If you want to see more great reasons why it’s great to be a girl, just head here! What do y’all love about being a girl? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
