Happy Wednesday y’all! I’m excited to finally get around to sharing a peak into my “new-ish” apartment, the living room tour! I’ll admit, it’s not perfect, but I’ve finally gotten to a point where I’m comfortable enough sharing it! To be completely transparent, furnishing is brutal. Furnishing a space that’s double the size of your old space is even more brutal. Given that I’ll probably live here for another two years I’m okay with everything taking a little longer to get put together! Most items are from my old apartment, i.e. my couch, bean bag, desk (that used to be my vanity), floor mirror, bar and shoe shelf. While some of these items are old, a few of them are new like my rug, coffee table, and gold bookcases! I was going for bachelorette pad vibes, but a little more mature than my last apartment.

The thing I love most about my living room is how large it is. I have enough room for my blog office/desk area where I can really separate everything in one solid spot. My old apartment would feel so cluttered and trashed if I had even three boxes left out in the room. I still need a little better way of organizing everything to look a little nicer, but for starters this is working!

My Couch – I’ve had my couch for easily three years now. I actually bought it during Black Friday of my senior year in college from PB Teen. We didn’t open up the boxes until I moved to NYC (what was the point of unboxing to re-box, right?) and discovered we were missing a whole end to the couch. They discontinued the pink shade so I ended up with this three section couch instead of four, BUT it has served me so well for three years! It’s kind of starting to fade/fall apart now, so I’m in the market for another pink couch! My mom said I should have a pink couch while I’m single, and that was easily one of the top 10 pieces of advice she’s given me for sure. This one has actually been great for a smaller space like my old apartment! I do have my eye on THIS one though!

My Rug – One of my favorite updates from my old apartment is this fun printed rug. I have always been a fan of navy and pink, and something about the pattern is more mature in my eyes. It balances the pink, girly elements really well and I love it. Mine is 7×10, and it is from Wayfair.

My Coffee Table – In my old apartment I used my ottoman as a coffee table and I’m so happy to have a real one now! This tiered glass one allows me to still see the rug because I love the print so much, and it was SUPER easy to put together – also from Wayfair.

My Bean Bag – My favorite thing in my whole apartment hands down is my bean bag. I was gifted it from PB Teen during a Christmas Campaign when I first moved here and I could never get rid of it. It’s the perfect addition and you would be surprised how many times I just fall asleep flat out on my floor because I’m on my bean bag!

My Desk – Which also used to be my vanity in my old apartment is now my staple for my “blog office” nook area. It’s the perfect size and has two drawers. It definitely wasn’t the easiest to put together because it’s hard to fit through doors/around corners! (I’m doing a separate office tour, so more on that later!)

My Gold Shelves – I’ve always wanted something nicer to showcase my designer bags, and when I stumbled on these gold shelves off of Wayfair I knew I needed them. They’re fairly easy to put together and I bought two to push together! It’s the perfect way to showcase my nicer bags and keep them from getting lost in the black hole that my apartment can turn into.

What do y’all think? I’ll share updates as they come along in the near future! Have a great day and thanks for reading!
