Happy Friday y’all! For today’s Friday Five I’m rounding up my NYC Summer Bucket List! The city in the summer can either be the greatest place or the worst, depending on how you look at it. I typically try to travel for the majority of the summer whether it be day trips or taking time off work to have an actual vacation, but surprisingly there’s a ton of things I want to do in NYC this year!

If you find yourself visiting New York definitely look into some of these options. They’re a little more unique/niche than the basic Times Square + Top of the Rock option. What do y’all think? Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!

1. Gotham Market at the Ashland in Brookyln. A blogger I follow attended the soft opening for this Brooklyn based market and I need to get myself over there ASAP! The market itself has different food from vendors so you can really get a taste for a lot of things! The best part is that it’s inside compared to Smorgasborg that’s outside.

2. Island Oyster. I’m not sure if this has been around for years and I just didn’t know it, but this random little island popped out of nowhere and has been taking over social media. You can get all kinds of oysters with incredible city views.

3. Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill in Brooklyn. A quaint looking restaurant that would be perfect for sunset cocktails and apps, this restaurant is located on Dumbo’s waterfront and looks so stinking cute! I’m pushing for my next team outing to be here for work.

4. Mercado Little Spain. A cute themed market in Hudson Yards that reminds me of the market in Madrid. They serve all sorts of tapas and is located in the new Hudson Yards mall location – so you can kill two birds with one stone visiting!

5. Biking on Governor’s Island. My coworker did this and seemed to love it and now I’m intrigued! I’m not one for a ton of active activities, but you can bike all around Governor’s Island and see the different sites there (plus city views, a theme in case you hadn’t noticed).

6. Take a helicopter tour of the city. I mean, seriously, who doesn’t want to do this?! FlyNYON does trips around Manhattan and I’m dying to do this at some point this summer just to catch some amazing views of the city!

7. Head upstate for a vineyard tour with New York Wine Events. I’ve never actually gone to a New York vineyard and there are so many PLUS it’s really easy to get to. Definitely going to be a must this summer.
