Happy Monday y’all! I’m back in action in the city after a week long work trip down to Texas and I am SO happy to be back. I’ve only ever traveled for work for a few days, so leaving for over a week was definitely a change/challenge for me. I like traveling, but there’s a reason I live alone – I like my space! We spent the beginning of the week in Dallas and the end in Houston and I stayed with my family for the weekend. It was SO fun getting to meet so many other bloggers that I know/have followed for years. I’m even more so glad that I stayed in the weekend before I left and spent the time to really decorate my apartment for the holidays. I didn’t realize it would practically be Christmas by the time I returned!

I’m kicking off gift guides today by sharing a round up of holiday dresses I’m eyeing. Knowing Black Friday/Cyber Monday is around the corner, these will likely all go on sale in the coming weeks which is what I’m banking on to grab a few. I shared some of my favorites on IG stories a few weeks back and was genuinely surprised at what styles y’all are loving this year! Everyone was a fan of my favorite pink sequin dress HERE, which I’m debating getting for New Years and lumping it into whatever birthday trip I plan in February.

When it comes to the holiday season I’m sure we all think of the same exact trends – sequins, glitter, and jewel tones! I always flock to red when the holidays come around, and last year I started branching out to emerald green which was a fan favorite. This year, I’m looking to stick true to what I know while adding in a few switch ups like animal print, sheer or embroidered detailing, and feathers!

One thing I’m really shooting for this year is to find ways to jazz up wearing pants during the holiday season as well. I’m a sucker for a power suit vibe, but never really assumed it would be a good fit for me until I started seeing so many cute prints/patterns in stores this year. I’ always a huge fan of pants year round so why not try and incorporate them into holiday looks this go around?! We’re going into a new decade after all, I think it’s safe to say that women can wear the pants!
