Boho Bedroom

Happy Tuesday y’all! Kicking off this week on a productive note and sharing my bedroom space. I’m really missing this cozy little spot right about now and how pink it is – especially since everything in my childhood home is all Earth tones! I recently added a few decor elements that really created a boho vibe that I just love, and later this year I’d love to get a larger new rug for this space.

When it came to decorating my room, I knew I obviously wanted something very girly but a little bit more mature than my old apartment that had dalmatian printed wallpaper and a hot pink (DIY) tufted headboard. I opted for more of a mauve pink/purple color to base the room off of, with neutral tones and gold accents. It’s such a large space for a New York apartment so there was room to play with what I added into my room! My bed is a play on the ever-popular tufted headboards, and I love how it’s such a statement piece. It really sets the room up, and I find it so easy to mimic the mauve shade with different accent pillows and such.

A vanity area is a must for me, otherwise I just let me makeup pile in front of a mirror so that’s first thing when you walk into my room and serves as a catch all. I also have gold shelves that display my designer items like bags, belts and shoes. My gold nightstands mirror my shelves and coffee table in the living room, and the dresser I use has gold accents as well (and serves as my TV stand). Overall, it’s super cozy and inviting!

When it comes to decorating, I’ve tried to incorporate rattan elements for a more boho feel, as well as pampas grass and oversized candles. The art I have above my bed is a new addition in 2020. My favorite candles to decorate with are Capri Blue Candles because they’re my favorite scent and the packaging is so chic with the mercury glasses. I also have remote control candles on my air conditioning unit and greenery to bring it some color. One thing not pictured in these photos is my faux Bird of Paradise tree that I placed in the corner! It adds a pop of color and brings back that almost vacation-esque vibe.

What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
