Sephora Spring Sale: Makeup Picks

Happy Wednesday y’all! So excited to dedicate today’s post to the fabulous makeup items included in Sephora’s Spring Sale. When it comes to makeup, this tends to be more of my moms wheelhouse (perfectly convenient right now being home for quarantine) and I’ve loved getting to play in her makeup stash before purchasing items in the sale. I’ve spent the last few weeks trying a few things here and there and have created a tutorial that I shared on Instagram that I would wear if I were in the city and going to work or blog events on a normal day. I was surprised I even remembered how to blend – definitely took some time with the eyes HAHA!

I always like to think through what makeup items will last me longest (especially given the times), and what I will use most. Right now I’m not necessarily putting glitter on my eyes, but I will be using complexion items, applying mascara to make my eyes look brighter, and adding some color to my lips/cheeks. The little things we do to get by via video conference calls these days!

Rounding up so many different items below. Would love to know what you’re gravitating towards or shopping for this sale round. Have a great day y’all and thanks for reading!

A lengthier tutorial to showcase all of the products used from @sephora that are currently on sale! A few of the items I’ve really been loving and definitely think you need while they are on sale are listed out below. I love makeup, but I can be such a creature of habit when it comes to certain brands and types of products whether it’s eye shadow or foundation, so you can be sure that these will be holy grail products in your makeup arsenal!

Too Faced Born this Way Etheral Setting Powder is an A-MAZING setting powder that I instantly became obsessed with. I’ve been using a contour palette to bake/set my look, but I will definitely be using this powder moving forward. It leaves your skin looking flawless.

Fenty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter honestly just makes you glow like gold. It’s insane one highlighter has so much LIGHT to it, but damn is this worth the hype.

Diorshow Mascara has always been one of my favorite mascaras and I forgot how good it is at extending lashes and making them look full. While I still prefer my lash extensions, this is a great mascara regardless.

IT Cosmetics CC Cream is the holy grail of all CC creams. It has a great amount of coverage PLUS SPF for that added protection. I buy this two at a time to keep me stocked. Such a great CC Cream!

Intro to Makeup Items: When it comes to navigating through the makeup selection on Sephora, let me be the first to say that it can be overwhelming! There are so many options and brands, and you can only read so many descriptions without trying the product on your skin type/tone. I’ve tried to round up my favorites from the sale that are fairly universal and prominent in the whole beauty industry.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer is one I’ve raved about for what feels like ages now. It grips makeup to last all day, has Sativa Seed Oil in it to soothe redness and can be used just as a stand alone base to smooth pores. So worth it and lasts you so long!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder essentially makes pores disappear it’s THAT good. Everyone always needs a powder in their kit, and this compress makes it so easy to add/travel with.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer is actually the only brow product I’ll use. I don’t really know how to describe it, but I’ve tried others and none fit the bill like my ABH brow does.

Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray does exactly what it advertises – lasts all night. If you are a night owl like I am, this setting spray is a MUST.

Dior Lip Glow is a classic lip gloss that works to bring out your natural tone. It adds the perfect amount of gloss to your pout and leaves lips so soft rather than sticky.
