February Beauty Favorites

Happy Wednesday y’all! Back in January I did a poll on what products you wanted me to test and I spent the majority of February trying a ton of new beauty products and finally am able to share my piece. It’s hard to come to a verdict with a beauty product because you generally have to use it for three weeks before you can really tell the true results. For instance, one of my all time favorite brands, Tatcha, took my skin nearly a month to get used to. I broke out really bad upon initial use but fast forward to one month later and I was glowing like crazy.

One category I really wanted to dip my toes into was hair products this go-around. One of my clients is a hair brand that’s generally well known, so I use their products daily and am an avid fan. I had a Nordstrom gift card from a holiday return so I used it towards a few products from cult-favorite brands like Ouai, Oribe and Olaplex and really found some holy grails while testing! I’m excited to try more (plz add me to your mailing lists lol) and share along the way.

So let’s really dive into it! This past weekend I did go to Sephora and pick up some of my top, TOP holy grail products like Drunk Elephant’s TLC Sukari Baby Facial and Dermalogica’s Clear Start Fizz Mask because my skin has been breaking out off and on from trying so many things, but overall these have been working well for me. Would love to know if there’s anything you guys use that you’d recommend! More specifically, if there’s anything you recommend for redness let me know! Have a great day and thanks for reading!

1. Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother. The second after I used this for the first time I could tell something was different about my hair. For starters, it smells phenomenal and it really seals the cuticle of the strand to reveal smoother, softer & stronger hair. I will never not use this now – I’m HOOKED.

2. Kitsch Micro Derma Facial Roller. I’ve always wanted a micro needle facial roller but was too hesitant to bite the bullet on those that cost $120+. This under $20 option is the perfect starter! It’s not as scary as it seems, and really helps sink your skincare routine into your skin. 10/10 recommend.

3. Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Water Facial Mask. I have been wanting this launch since I saw the mailer go out to editors in November! ~PS DRUNK ELEPHANT ILYSM~ Let me say, it’s worth the hype, worth the wait, and timed perfectly to winter skin. It makes for a perfect sleep mask and is so lightweight yet hydrating at the same time.

4. Tula Brighten Up Smoothing Primer Gel. How did I ever get by without this product? A soothing primer gel that’s formulated to really boosts + brightens. I use this literally every single day whether I wear makeup or not. If I do wear makeup, it really grips what I apply whether it’s powder or liquid. You can get 15% off TULA SITE WIDE using code KAYLEIGHSKLOSET at check out! (not sponsored)

5. Tatcha THE Serum Stick. A portable, concentrated balm that’s hydrating and soothing. It’s great for those mornings I decide to Uber and have 10 minutes to get ready and need a quick routine. It’s also great for traveling and isn’t overbearing. Perfect for those who prefer to keep their routine low key!

My overall biggest beauty secret? DRINK WATER! This water bottle has really helped me with my daily water intake. I truly notice a difference when I don’t drink as much water (for the record I’m that person who hates drinking water).
