Favorite Wines for Quarantine

Happy Thursday y’all! Since it was announced that we’re stuck in quarantine for another month, I figured I would take today’s post to round up my favorite wines fro quarantine. If you’re anything like me (or the rest of the world) once that 6:00 PM mark hits it’s time to open up a bottle for your own personal happy hour. I typically don’t drink on week days when life is normal (believe it or not), but since I’m home for quarantine and there isn’t much else to do it has resulted in an uptick of my wine intake – LOL.

When it comes to the wines I drink, I’m all over the place price wise from low spend to mid-tier pricing. Especially since I’ve been at home I’ve been taking advantage of the wine my parents have and stocking up when we hit the grocery store since Texas grocery stores have full blown wine/beer sections. I’m typically a red wine drinker, but since it’s so hot in Texas I have been gravitating towards white recently. Who knows, by the time this is over it may be rose season.

Linking up a few of my favorite wines for quarantine below! If you have any suggestions I would love to know. Other than wine I really haven’t been drinking liquor or beer or anything. Have a great day y’all and thanks for reading!

1. Rodney Strong Cabernet. One of my favorite, affordable wines. This is one that my dad even likes and he’s a picky one! It has a good amount of spice and isn’t too heavy in the heat.

2. Cakebread Chardonnay. A higher end wine in my opinion that I’ve been taking from my parents stash. This is one of our favorite vineyards to go to so my family orders by the case. It’s perfect by the pool too!

3. Decoy Chardonnay. A pricier wine that I get on my own in NYC when I feel like spending a bit more. No hangover, and it’s so smooth. Perfect for a weekend day or when the clock strikes 6!

4. Josh Cellars Cabernet. Another affordable option that’s available at Target and other grocery spots in Texas. It’s a safe bet every time.

5. Mark West Pinot Noir. One of my favorite Pinot Noir even though I’ve started going back to Cab recently. This is best cold in my opinion and it’s sweet enough for dinner or dessert.
