10 Minute Workouts to Try This Summer

Happy Monday y’all! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was gross and rainy all weekend in Houston so I had a lazy weekend doing LITERALLY nothing, but it was definitely much needed. While we aren’t as busy as usual with quarantine, we’re still able to go eat or go to a park, and hang by the pool so it’s definitely weird that this was the first time to just chill.

Diving into a highly requested post today relating to fitness and my healthy lifestyle update. I promise I’m working on a larger post that will be coming in August with an in-depth round up of my change in lifestyle and what I’ve been doing so stay tuned! Today I wanted to round up quick, 10 minute work outs that I’ve been loving and are so easy to do first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening – or even on your lunch break/throughout the day.

Why 10 minute workouts? Obviously I am not a professional, but I’ve found that ten minute work outs (for me, at least) typically burn around 100 calories and they’re quick, usually cardio hitting work outs. I’ve been doing a more intense evening work out Monday-Thursday (which I’ll be sharing later), so these smaller 10 minute intervals are great to get moving in the morning or in the middle of the day when you’re going stir crazy at your desk.

1. 10 Minutes on the Eliptical (or a 10 minute jog OR 10 minutes going up/down your stairs if you’re in the suburbs like I am). In a small space without equipment? I’ve been seeing small AND cheap treadmills on TikTok and a friend said it’s definitely great for small spaces! There’s one version HERE for $171. There’s even a mini stair stepper machine that’s under $60 and great for small spaces HERE!

2. 10 Minutes of Pool Laps. While I understand everyone may not have a pool, I never realized how good of a work out swimming laps could be! It really targets your arm muscles and serves as a great refresh in the day in the Texas summer heat.

3. Sydney Cummings 10 Minute HIIT Workouts. I’m such a fan of Sydney Cummings workouts but her ten minute work outs are real hard hitters. If you’re easing into a new routine I definitely suggest trying the HIIT Cardio or Full Body HIIT.

4. Chloe Ting Ab Challenge – 10 Minute Video. Full disclosure I tried the whole challenge thing and I didn’t really see the level of results from these work outs, BUT they are so quick and straight forward that you definitely hit a ton of reps in a short amount of time. I did like the abs one best because it’s fast paced and you don’t get bored.

5. Blogilates 10 Minute Thigh Sculpt. Let’s be honest working out my lower body is one of my least favorite things to do because it’s what you feel the most afterwards! This quick 10 minute work out is great to help tone without bulking and it’s a great burn.

Let me know if there are any quick work outs that you’ve been seeing success with or if there’s something else I should try out! There’s still so much out there but these few work outs are what got me started. My biggest piece of advice is just get moving. Ten minutes a day is a great place to start your day so that you’re in a better mindset as you continue on.

What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
