Work From Home Style: Cozy + Affordable Basics

Happy Wednesday y’all! It has been a gloomy/rainy week in Houston and I am definitely missing the sunshine. Something about being cooped up in doors reminds me of why I didn’t stay in my New York apartment for all of this uncertainty. I love when I’m able to go in and out of my backyard – even if it’s just for an hour or so.

Do y’all have an update on how long you will be working from home? Have you already started going back or are you on pause until further notice? If you’re like me (AKA not going into a physical office until 2021), you may have started to realize what your uniform is everyday – AKA loungewear.

I rounded up a few posts at the beginning of quarantine, but didn’t want to do too much of a focus on it because I genuinely thought we would be back in the office by summer. Now that I’m working from my bed and dining room table, I’ve discovered that it’s best to be comfortable but have something that suffices from the waist up (in case you’re needed for a zoom or FaceTime at minutes notice). While I try to sit outside as much as I can, there have been a few pieces that I’ve quite literally been living in so today I figured I would round up a giant loungewear haul for y’all!

1. Urban Outfitters Drew Seamless Bra Top. I have this in a pale blue and black and will be ordering every color possible. They’re comfortable and work as if they’re a longer sports bra (although I would not suggest working out in them if you need support). Perfect for sleep, work, anything!

2. Gray Side Slit Shorts. While mine were originally from Target, this Misguided pair is identical! These sweat shorts make for the perfect cozy addition (even if you want to literally roll out bed an start working – no judgment here).

3. Girlfriend Collective Paloma Sports Bra. Another seamless option that’s so comfortable, but with a bit more support. If you can snag anything from Girlfriend Collective (they sell out so quick!) you’ll be set for all of quarantine. The sustainable pieces literally feel like butter they’re so soft. I could wear for days.

4. Built in Bra Tops. TikTok has been raving about these and they’re Lululemon dupes but SO affordable/comfortable. You can even pair with a pair of jeans or shorts for casual weekend attire and they come in so many colors.

5. Anything from Champion @ Macy’s. Macy’s always has so many great sales and they have a ton of Champion options to choose from. Champion is sturdy yet comfortable, and honestly very trendy. There’s a whole world of items to choose from but I love the sweats, cropped tees, and cropped tanks.

6. Biker Shorts. Alas, my favorite for last. I hated the biker short trend at first but now I can’t get enough. I love working out in biker shorts, but there are some great options for lounging (that don’t make your butt itch from a chair all day LOL).
